Eurovision fans have slammed hosts Rylan Clark and Scott Mills for their ‘annoying’ habit.
Last night’s second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 saw a dramatic conclusion as several major countries missed out on a chance to make it to the Grand Final on Saturday night.
Despite disruptions during rehearsals, Israel’s Yuval Raphael was able to book her place for the next round alongside Armenia, Austria, Denmark and Finland
Joining them with a chance to win the Eurovision contest is Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg and Malta.
It meant Australia, Czechia, Georgia, Ireland, Montenegro and Serbia will all go home empty handed.
However, despite the drama, fans were particularly struck by Rylan and Scott’s presenting style.
‘Scott and Rylan being condescending’
Taking to X, @antligen23 said: ‘Jesus Christ. Scott and Rylan wait for the bloody song to finish before you start the insane chatter #Eurovision2025.’
@AfterLiverpool added: ‘Scott and Rylan being condescending about the hosts constantly just sets a bad overriding tone.’
@mcg_d67 also wrote: ‘I just wish Rylan & Scott would shut up! It’s too much. Pls change them next year BBC.’
@AndrewJOckendon echoed: ‘Please @BBCRadio2 tell @Rylan and @scott_mills to shut up and stop with the rambling they are no Terry Wogan @Eurovision.’
@Karl_Downey similarly said: ‘Wish Rylan would stop talking over Scott. It’s so rude and annoying. #Eurovision @bbceurovision.’
However, not all fans seemed to be annoyed with the duo’s presenting. In fact, some viewers thought they did a great job.
@bigmancamregen wrote on social media: ‘2 great #Eurovision semi-finals with fantastic commentary as per from @Rylan & @scott_mills to top it off. Roll on Saturday #Eurovision2025.’

Elsewhere in last night’s semi-final, viewers felt their jaws fall to the floor thanks to Malta’s super racy performance.
Eurovision is no stranger to controversy or some sensual choreography, however, Malta took things to a whole new level to the point where their song lyrics had to be altered due to their explicit nature.
As she performed in Basel, Switzerland, for semi-final number 2, Miriana, 24, came out of a giant set of red lips.
She proceeded to rip off her ruffled yellow dress, revealing a racy red leopard print jumpsuit underneath, complete with a black mesh top and feathered sleeves.
The flame-haired performer was joined by backing dancers, all of whom wore fishnets and showed plenty of skin.
Towards the end of the number, she then sat bouncing on a giant exercise ball.
