Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) has told Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) some information about a missing Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) and baby Reuben in Emmerdale.

A few weeks ago, Mackenzie told Chloe that their relationship had come to an end.

Shortly after, he got back with Charity (Emma Atkins) and then faced a massive shock when a heartbroken Chloe packed her bags and left the village in an act of revenge.

Since then, Mack has been going out of his mind with worry. Despite the many mistakes he’s made this year, he loves being a dad, so having Chloe take Reuben from him has caused Mack to spiral.

This was something Matty picked up on in Tuesday’s (December 12) episode. Currently, Matty feels caught in the middle of his family and Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson), who knows where Chloe is.

During another difficult conversation, Matty expressed his thoughts to Amy and said he hates lying to his loved ones.

Amy – who is mother to Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) son – told Matty that his family ruin everything and he needs to prioritise looking out for Chloe.

The prospect of betraying his family obviously made Matty uncomfortable. He then headed up to Butlers and found Mack, who isn’t looking forward to Christmas without Reuben.

Mack went on to say that he really misses his son, and hates the fact he might not know anything about Reuben’s life as he grows up.

Feeling terrible, Matty ended up confessing to Mack that Amy knows where Chloe and Reuben are.

After the initial shock passed, Mack was grateful to Matty, who also revealed Amy’s plan to see her sister tomorrow.

Mack told Matty that he’d keep his secret – which really didn’t last long.

A positive spring in his step, Mack arrived to see Charity and told her everything. She agreed to join Mackenzie on his trip tomorrow, which will see him follow Amy with the intention of seeing Chloe and his son again.

    But will it work?

Regardless of whether it does, life will take a dramatic turn for Mackenzie, as upcoming spoilers confirm he will be seen tied to a chair in an abandoned factory, apparently lifeless.

This will be the next part of Chloe’s revenge as she reaches out to her controlling and evil father for help.

But will Mackenzie make it to 2024?
