Another departure (Picture: ITV)
Naomi Walters (Karene Peter) has left after just one year in the Emmerdale village.
This week, Naomi has spent an awful lot of time with her granddad, Victor (Eddie Osei).
Victor, as viewers know, is currently adjusting to normal life after spending over 20 years behind bars. He was sentenced following a robbery at a bank, which also left a security guard with life-changing injuries.
Naomi was one of the first people who decided to give Victor another chance. She knows all about starting again after being a member of the gang who attacked Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and believed that her granddad just wanted to put the past behind him.
Unbeknownst to a very naïve Naomi, Victor has been busy manipulating her and Vinny (Bradley Johnson), who has a lot of money to his name.

Despite the fact Vinny and Naomi barely know each other, he agreed to lend her some money so she could pay off her debts.
As well as sorting out the final details of this, Thursday’s (July 6) edition of the ITV soap also saw Naomi quit her job at the pub. She was tired of supposedly doing two jobs but only getting paid for one and left because she felt she wasn’t actually progressing.

Back at home, Victor turned on the charm once more and managed to convince Naomi that leaving the Dales would be the best thing for her. He was successful in making her think that taking Vinny’s money, spreading her wings and being ‘adventurous’ was the right thing to do.
And so, after packing up her things, Naomi said goodbye to Charles, telling him that she’s off to Ibiza and won’t be coming back.
When Naomi first arrived, her focus was starting a relationship with Charles and Ethan (Emile John), who she barely knew.

She was then in court after it was revealed that she played a part in Nicola’s attack, had a very brief relationship with Nate (Jurell Carter) and most recently, believed drug dealer Alex (Liam Boyle) was a changed man, despite the fact he was in the middle of robbing the surgery at the same time.
As Naomi leaves, we will soon be welcoming her brother Ethan back to our screens, as Emile John confirmed he had started filming again.
