Rhona ignored Mary’s advice (Picture: ITV)
Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) is clearly struggling in the wake of Lucy’s death, as recent Emmerdale scenes have shown.
After finding out that ex-husband Gus had used Rhona’s embryo’s without her permission, Rhona found herself in the horrifying situation of having to rush pregnant Lucy to hospital after realising that she was in labour.
Sadly, Lucy died from complications during the birth, leaving Rhona stunned.
In recent scenes, Rhona was clearly not coping well, as pregnant Dawn Fletcher’s (Olivia Bromley) comments about her own pregnancy were clearly getting to her.
It wasn’t long before Rhona had had enough, and soon stormed out of the vet’s surgery, leaving Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) concerned.

After he had informed Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) of her outburst, Mary headed over to see Rhona, where she finally opened up.
Rhona revealed that she hadn’t so much as thought about Gus until she’d learnt about his fraudulent use of her embryos, but now him and baby Ivy were all she could think about.

As Mary told her that she needed to find a way to accept what had happened and move on, Rhona asked what she should tell Leo.
Mary pointed out that he wouldn’t understand and, seeing as Gus hadn’t made any decisions yet, baby Ivy was legally nothing to do with Rhona.
She urged her to leave Gus to catch his breath, reminding her that the kindest thing they could do was leave him to it.
