Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) proves she’s not to messed with in Emmerdale next week, channeling her very own Kim Tate (Claire King) in a bid to put Caleb Milligan (William Ash) firmly in his place.
The young businesswoman and entrepreneur, as viewers know, has been conducting a secret relationship with nanny Nicky (Lewis Cope), after they slept together several weeks ago.
Nicky did his best to resist Gabby’s charms at first, desperately trying to remain professional, but with the chemistry simply too strong, the pair succumbed to temptation.
After a number of frissons, they resolved to keep seeing one another, but agreed to do so in secret, knowing that if their romance was to be exposed, it would inevitably lead to a lot of complications.
Gabby and Nicky, however, become somewhat reckless next week, with the pair having sex at every opportunity that presents itself, putting their secret in danger.
‘They literally can’t get their hands off each other!,’ actress Rosie Betham told Metro.co.uk, describing the events of next week’s episodes. ‘Every scene at the minute is just snogging or something like that.
‘Me and Lewis [Cope] have just got used to that now,’ she laughed. ‘It’s just like “Okay, we’ve got to kiss now, whatever.”‘

Nicky’s contract is up for renewal in the upcoming scenes and, upon finding out that Kim has made him a permanent member of staff, the nanny is delighted, with he and Gabby sneaking upstairs to celebrate in their own unique way.
‘They nearly get caught by Dawn, who almost catches them together which makes it very real for Gabby and she kind of says: “We can’t keep hiding around all the time, it’s just not sustainable”‘, explained Rosie of the scenes in question.
‘They can’t just stay in the same house when they can’t keep their hands off each other and no one else see. Dawn doesn’t see, which is fine, but they do get caught by Caleb!

‘Caleb walks in and catches them being overly friendly with each other. I think they might be kissing at that point or something like that in the kitchen and he walks in and that’s where it’s left.
‘It’s like this has completely blown all cover. Gabby says to him “This is what it seems but please don’t tell Kim.”
Caleb, much like Nicky, is hard to read, with viewers having little idea about what exactly it is that he’s up to, but given that he’s made himself right at home up at Home Farm, it’s safe to assume that he’ll try to use his discovery as leverage.
Little does he know, however, that Gabby is not someone to be trifled with, and after her attempts to win him over don’t pay off, the ruthless mum-of-one turns to channelling her inner Kim Tate, bargaining with Caleb using his business desires as leverage of her own.

‘To win him over she says: “You’re trying to get in on this business and it’s also my business so you’d better keep me sweet as well”, revealed Rosie.
‘She does a really good job of deflecting it and turning it around and fingers crossed Caleb doesn’t spill it because they’re not ready to tell Kim yet.
‘Gabby just turns very Kim-like. She’s panicking but her brain’s thinking: “What can I do? What can I say right now to beg him to not tell Kim?”. She turns all professional on him and goes: “I’m not being funny but if you’re wanting a bit of whatever’s on Kim’s table, that’s also my table here” type of thing.

‘She’s proud of herself, she’s thinking: “I handled that well. I’m good at things like that.” So, hopefully Caleb keeps his mouth shut!’
Caleb, as audiences are aware, is determined to destroy everything up at Home Farm, so he’ll likely need to bide his time in order to do that. Gabby, however, will likely prove next week that she’s not someone you want to cross, so perhaps the scheming businessman will meet his match!
