The mystery of Craig’s murder has loomed large over Emmerdale but, while viewers will soon know who did the deed, the police are in the dark next week as investigations get underway and suspects close ranks.

However, there are more secrets than the matter of the killing, with Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) hiding his worrying diagnosis from Brenda (Lesley Dunlop), and Caleb Miligan (William Ash) concealing his passionate feelings for Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh).

And Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) continues to act surreptitiously too, while Vinny Ashdale (Bradley Johnson) remains silent over Aaron Dingle’s (Danny Miller) recent treatment of her.

Finally, another risky secret on the go is the romance between Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) – and when things cool off, it doesn’t last long.

Hardly anyone is telling the truth next week, but some truths are about to come to light…

Villagers remain in the dark over secrets playing out behind their backs.

Police interviews pick up as they try to find the culprit for Craig’s death.

Pollard can’t help lashing out at Brenda as the reality of his diagnosis weighs on him.

Belle encourages Tom to book flights for his mum’s funeral, not noticing that he’s troubled by the prospect.

Later, Tom opens up to Belle about not wanting to go to his mum’s funeral alone. He’s grateful when she agrees to accompany him.

Nate’s concerned by Tracy’s stress levels as she stews about not having a mentor for her college course. Eager to help, he sends a text on her behalf.

In the cafe, Jai’s shocked and Laurel’s angered to hear from Tracy that Amit attacked Nicky because of Nicky’s sexuality.

Jai and Laurel are firmly convinced Amit is a violent homophobe and wanting nothing to do with him.

Victoria’s perplexed by Jacob’s apparent lack of interest in spending time with her. Later, in the Woolpack, she continues to be ghosted by Jacob.

Bereft Brenda is crying on the shoulder of Nicola who bolsters her to move on and find another man.

Jai hears Amit’s story, but he still doesn’t come clean.

Bernice continues to treat herself to luxuries.
