Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) had her whole world destroyed when she found out that Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) had slept with Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) and is the father of her baby in Emmerdale, and yet still he was completely stunned when she asked for a divorce in Friday’s (June 2) episode.
Mackenzie has been spending a lot of time with Chloe recently, so much so that she’s started developing feelings for him again.
This led to Chloe trying to kiss Mack this week, but he brushed it off and put the move down to her emotions being heightened after a hospital trip with their son.
Despite Mack’s efforts to ignore it, Chloe was defiant and told him how she feels, adding that in time, she believes they can be a proper family.

Confused and unable to work out an answer himself, Mack was once again challenged on his feelings tonight when he spotted Charity and Moses at The Hide.
After playing football with Moses, Mackenzie joined them for some food.
He got slightly carried away and joked about Charity having tomato on her face. Mack went to wipe it off, but Charity did it instead, an expression on her face that suggested she wasn’t impressed by his attempt at striking up a moment.
As Moses enjoyed ice cream, a frustrated Charity told Mackenzie that she wants a divorce.

He was stunned and desperately tried to tell Charity that he loves her and is completely miserable on his own.
Charity wasn’t going to be swayed. She was annoyed at Mackenzie’s attempt at playing happy families with Moses and reiterated that he could say sorry every single day, and it still wouldn’t be enough.
As Mackenzie popped by to see Chloe for Reuben’s bedtime, he updated her and explained that while he’s flattered, they can’t be together as his marriage has literally just ended.
