Emmerdale spoilers: Killer Kim issues a dark threat to Gabby after her betrayal is exposed

Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) was in an uncompromising mood at the start of Monday (September 4)’s visit to Emmerdale. She wanted Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) punished for what he’d done to her, and she wanted Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) to be the one who enacted that punishment.

A while back, Gabby tried to kiss Billy when she was very, very drunk. Billy didn’t welcome her advances at all, because he’s lovely and very devoted to Dawn (Olivia Bromley). He realised that Gabby was drunk and not very happy and would have drawn a line under the whole thing with no harm done.

The reason that Gabby had been so drunk in the first place was that she was trying to cope with being jilted on the morning of her wedding by Nicky, who revealed that he’s gay and had just

pretended to love her to help his dad Caleb (William Ash) get revenge against Kim Tate (Claire King).

So being rejected by Billy as well was a double blow, but Gabby also saw an opportunity. Billy has a bit of a hard man past, having previously served prison time for beating a man up. Who better than Billy to mess up Nicky’s pretty face?

Billy is a thoroughly nice man these days and made it quite clear he’d do nothing of the sort. So Gabby decided she’d blackmail him and threatened to tell dawn about their kiss. Billy pointed out that nothing happened really, but Gabby thought Dawn would be a bit suspicious that he hadn’t said anything to her earlier.

It took a little pep talk from Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) to make Gabby realise she was being stupid and she rushed back to Home Farm to tell Billy that she’d changed her mind – she didn’t want him smacking Nicky after all.

But it was too late. Not too late for Nicky, whose face and limbs are still intact. But too late for Gabby, as Billy had already told Dawn all about what had happened and what Gabby was asking him to do.

And Dawn was fuming. She told Gabby to stay away from her and her family, which is difficult given that they all live in the same house.

Also living in the house is Kim Tate, and it wasn’t long before she detected an atmosphere between Gabby and Dawn. Dawn soon filled her in on what had happened and Gabby attempted to excuse her behaviour, saying she was sick of people treating her badly.

Kim asked Dawn if she could speak to Gabby alone, and then she made her feelings very clear. Gabby needed to stop playing the victim, she insisted.

‘Steel is forged in fire,’ she reminded her. Kim has been through quite a bit of fire in her life and is exceptionally steely as a result, so she knows what she’s talking about.

Gabby was in full self-pity mode. Nicky was just getting away with it, Dawn and Billy hate her, she’s feeling like a spare part. If she’d hoped for sympathy from Kim she was about to be disappointed.

‘You have bullied and threatened and then acted surprised that you have no friends. How did you think this was going to play out?’ Kim wanted to know.

She advised Gabby to steer clear of Billy and Dawn for the foreseeable future.

‘Or you’ll have far worse to deal with. Me.’

Be afraid, Gabby. be very afraid.
