Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) resorts to increasingly desperate actions in upcoming Emmerdale episodes in an effort to gain access to his son – leaving Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) worried about what he might be capable of.
After Mackenzie told Chloe he was leaving her and going back to Charity (Emma Atkins), everyone assumed that he and Chloe would co-parent their son Reuben in some civilised arrangement.
This underestimated the depth of Chloe’s anger over how she’d been treated, and it wasn’t long before she was making plans to flee to France with her son, vowing that Mackenzie would never see him again.
Mackenzie has already spent sleepless nights searching for Chloe and Reuben, to no avail. He’s fairly sure that Chloe’s sister Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) must have an idea about where she’s gone and he puts pressure on her and Matty (Ash Palmisciano) to tell him.

Eventually Matty feels sorry for him and tells him that Chloe and Reuben are safe and well and they’re fairly nearby. In fact he and Amy plan to visit them the following day.
Mack isn’t content with simply knowing that Reuben is safe. He wants to see him, so he and Charity jump in the car and head off after Matty and Amy – who spot them at some traffic lights and realise what’s happening.

Again Amy refuses to tell Mackenzie where her sister is, so he snatches her phone and texts Chloe – posing as Amy – to meet him in a nearby park.
Chloe is excited as she gets Reuben ready to meet up with Amy and Matty. It’s been lonely for her while she was on the run and she can’t wait to see her sister again.

But then something about the message from ‘Amy’ strikes her as wrong, and she realises that the message must be from Mackenzie – and she’s about to walk into a trap.
She texts Mackenzie, reiterating that he will never see his son again.
