Everyone in Emmerdale is so distracted watching Aaron (Danny Miller) live out his bad lad best life, a new affair involving his mum and the actual Vicar slips right under the radar.
Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is a master in stoicism when faced with adversity, but Charles (Kevin Mathurin) is a master at seeing through that kind of façade.
With Aaron chipping away at her resolve, continuing to terrorise his own mum, Charles homes in on Chas to offer his support.
He encourages her to open up about how she’s feeling, and like a true Houdini, he magically has her confessing her feelings of loneliness and her hurt at her son in a vulnerable moment for Chas.

Charles later sees Aaron’s vitriol in real life and berates the untamed beast for his disrespectful behaviour towards his mum. Naturally, Aaron finds this utterly hilarious – a vicar giving him a telling off.
He goads Charles and it works when Charles loses his cool and goes for Aaron. Charles is left feeling red faced by his actions while Aaron is revelling in the hilarity of it all.

With his tail between his legs, Charles crawls to Chas to apologise and beg for forgiveness. But Chas doesn’t need his apology. Through her loneliness, she is glad to be getting closer to Charles. Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) is oblivious to the sparks between these two.
But there’s another sting in Aaron’s tail. He targets Ethan (Emile John) in a bid to get back at Charles. He lures him into the Mill and Ethan believes the two of them share a connection.

But when Aaron later enacts the second part of his revenge plan, he gets an unexpectedly ferocious response – he humiliates a smitten Ethan in front of his dad and both Charles and Chas snap. It’s time to bring a stop to his rampage.
