Another two characters may be set to flee the village in the wake of Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb), Charity (Emma Atkins) and Chloe’s (Jessie Elland) dramatic car crash in Emmerdale.

Recent scenes have shown Mack determined to leave Chloe for Charity, though his plan to dump her was thwarted when she collapsed.

With Chloe still believing that everything is fine between them, Charity worries that Mack will back out of his promise to end things.

However, he soon proves that she had nothing to worry about when he finally tells a stunned Chloe that their relationship is over.

Chloe puts on a brave face in front of Mack, but it becomes clear just how devastated she is when she later sobs about it with sister Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson).

Things only get worse when Chloe spots Charity and Mack kissing in the street, and she soon gets her own back by slapping Charity.

Unfortunately for Mack, who has now realised just how badly Chloe has taken their breakup, that isn’t the end of her revenge.

Fuelled by bitterness, she reveals to Amy that she plans to run away to France, and take son Reuben with her so that Mack can never see him again.

‘I think France comes up because she is just trying to get as far away as possible, and she has an old school friend there that can help her get settled,’ actress Jessie Elland revealed.

‘She wants to be somewhere that Mackenzie can’t access easily, partly out of revenge, to make him suffer by not seeing Reuben, but partly to preserve her own feelings and try to reduce the chances of her getting hurt again.’

As Mack and Charity enjoy a romantic evening, they are totally unaware that Chloe has booked tickets to take Reuben out of the country.

Everything looks as though it is going to plan for Chloe, until Sarah (Katie Hill) spots packed bags and Reuben’s passport, and passes on the information to Mack and Moira (Natalie J Robb).

Realising what Chloe is planning to do, they rush out, determined to stop her.

Will they manage to get to her in time?
