It’s a difficult time for Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) in Emmerdale following the birth of baby Ivy.
Rhona’s life was turned upside down when Marlon (Mark Charnock) revealed her ex-partner Gus had stolen her frozen embryo so his new partner Lucy could get pregnant. As she struggled in the aftermath, Rhona headed to confront Gus and Lucy and expressed her thoughts on the terrible crime Gus had committed.
‘Finding out that this baby you said no to is going to be born imminently, and then it being born’, Zoe Henry said recently, discussing this storyline.
‘How could anyone come out of that unscathed and not be really hugely affected by it?’ she insisted. ‘It’s hell, because he’s lied and he’s stolen.’

‘They were trying to get away with it and if Marlon hadn’t seen them they probably would have done.
‘It’d be easy to say it would be easier if she never knew, but the thought that your child is out there somewhere and you don’t get to be a part of its life – I don’t know, I think it’s probably right that she knows.’
The arguing ended suddenly due to Lucy going into labour. Rhona told Gus to help Lucy into the car and drove them both to hospital.
Sadly, after Ivy was born, Lucy died, leaving Rhona in a complicated position of only being the baby’s biological mother, not her legal one.

With Gus all on his own, he’s not only dealing with the grief surrounding Lucy’s death, but the massive challenge of looking after a newborn.
He needs all the help he can get and in this new video, that comes from Rhona and Mary (Louise Jameson).
