Ellie Goulding’s performance at Victoria Festival in Portsmouth this weekend didn’t quite go as expected.
The 36-year-old Starry Eyed singer was belting out her club classic Miracle when she was seemingly hit in the face by a pyrotechnic via an on-stage machine.
Totally shocked, Ellie can be heard screaming and shouting, ‘F***!’ as the fire blasted upwards and she held her face.
Luckily, Ellie was able to continue the performance and appeared to be unscathed after the incident.
The star didn’t address the worrying footage until last night, when she took to Instagram to reassure fans she was okay.
‘To those asking I am ok!’ she began. ‘Pyro didn’t hit me directly in the face. Face is intact. Love you thank you x.’

Under her words, Ellie posted a little firework emoji.
The Love Me Like You Do hitmaker wore an asymmetrical top and jeans combination for the event, with her blonde hair looking as beach-chic as ever.
She starred on the line-up alongside the likes of Mumford & Sons, Raye and Kasabian, performing her bangers to 170,000 festival frolickers.
Ellie appears to be giving work her all after it was announced a few months ago she and husband Caspar Jopling were spending time apart after welcoming their son Arthur in August 2021.

The couple’s relationship began in 2017, and they married at York Minster two years later.
Speaking about their separation, a source told The Sun that Ellie and Caspar have had ‘ups and downs for a while’ but they ‘have always strongly felt they wanted to stay together so they could both be with their son.’
‘In the end, they’ve tried to find a compromise where they continue to share lots of time together for their son Arthur, but outside of that sometimes live separate lives for now,’ they added.
‘There is no discussion of a divorce and neither of them have been in a new relationship…’
