Eddie Howe has provided an injury update on key Newcastle United duo Alexander Isak and Sven Botman ahead of Saturday’s clash against Arsenal.
The Gunners travel to St James’ Park this weekend looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.
Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit second in the table, two points behind leaders Tottenham.
But Arsenal face a tricky test against a Newcastle side who have not tasted defeat in their last six top-flight fixtures.
Howe’s men are also full of confidence having smashed Manchester United 3-0 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
However, in a boost to Arsenal, Newcastle are set to be without striker Isak, who has produced six goals across eight Premier League games this term.
Howe has confirmed that Isak will likely return after the upcoming international break while defender Botman is also a doubt to face Arsenal.

‘No, I don’t think for this game (against Arsenal) we are expecting anyone (back) that wasn’t available to face Wolves,’ Howe said on Friday.
‘The majority (of injuries) are longer term, unfortunately for us, so that is the position we are in. We will go with a very similar squad.
‘Botman’s unclear at the moment. We’re going day-by-day with that one currently. Isak we hope will be back after the international break.’
