EastEnders star Stephen Rahman-Hughes has welcomed twin boys with his wife, just 18 months after she gave birth to their daughter.
The actor, who played scheming Adam Bateman on the BBC One soap, shared the happy news on social media, posting a snap of himself holding his two newborns.
‘Big news!,’ he wrote on Instagram. ‘Today my life took a massive twist. TWINS!!
‘I am astonished and in pieces after seeing my wife do it again but this time delivering 2 beautiful boys.
‘We are beyond happy that Sonny & Remy have joined our clan and that they had such a beautiful arrival.
‘If only Juney was here to welcome her new grandsons. That would have been even more perfect. It couldn’t have gone more smoothly – some will remember that Anj had an incredibly difficult experience delivering Aphra (only 18 months ago)’
Stephen revealed that he and wife Anjali ‘wished and tried’ for children for ‘so long’ and that he feels ‘truly blessed’.
‘Thank you to the team @stgeorgestrust for their diligence, patience and painstaking hard work in these most challenging times for #nhs.
‘The staff we encountered showed so much compassion and care under trying conditions.’
