Following Danny Dyer’s exit from EastEnders, it’s no surprise multiple TV shows are looking to secure him for various presenting and acting roles.
The actor, who left his role as Mick Carter last December, has now bagged himself another TV gig, set to appear in the new BBC Two comedy Henpocalypse!, written by Caroline Moran.
This series tells the story of Zara, a bride who has her hen do interrupted by the apocalypse.
Standard.
In a remote cottage in Wales with her pals, Zara must attempt to survive – and all they have in the boot of their car is hen do paraphernalia!
Once Zara and her friends realise almost all of the male population has been eradicated, they battle it out with a group of…wait for it…
Pilates instructors.

Danny will play a fictional version of himself, who is dubbed as a ‘mentor and counsellor’ to one of the bridesmaids, Jen.
‘When I saw the pilot for Henpocalypse! I pi***ed myself laughing and I was so honoured to be asked to be a part of such an amazing job’, Danny said, discussing his new role.
‘You’re all gonna f*****g love it — it’s hilarious.’
Over in EastEnders, Mick Carter ended up in a showdown with Janine (Charlie Brooks) and Linda (Kellie Bright) last year.
After rescuing Janine from a sinking car, he went back to rescue Linda.
However, he didn’t realise that she was already safe and on land, which left Linda and Janine with the horrifying realisation that Mick had been swept away.
Due to the fact it marked Danny’s departure from the soap, Mick’s lack of swimming skills, not to mention the freezing temperatures, we can only assume the character had met a watery end.
