Nish Panesar’s (Navin Chowdhry) behaviour towards wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) has become increasingly more alarming in recent EastEnders episodes, with recent scenes having seen him turn violent.
In the most recent instalment of the BBC soap, his sickening behaviour continued, as he fought to assert his control over his wife.
Newcomer Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) recently moved in with the Panesars, and frustrated Suki has been urging her to find a job ever since.
In tonight’s (October 24) episode, Nish came to her aid by offering her a job at the Minute Mart, much to Suki’s annoyance.
In order to show her appreciation, and no doubt rub Suki up the wrong way, Priya invited Nish for a drink after work in order to show her gratitude, extending the invite to Suki as an afterthought.

Nish was keen, but Suki clearly had other ideas.
By the time the end of her shift rolled around, Nish was ready to head to the pub, but Priya’s plans were interrupted by Suki, who was keen to show that she wasn’t someone to be messed with.
Before the pair could head off together, Suki asked Priya if she could lock up the shop that evening, claiming that she had a headache and wanted a bath and an early night.

Priya, irritated that her plans ha been interrupted but not wanting to get on the wrong side of Nish, reluctantly agreed, leaving Suki feeling empowered and back in control.
However, that soon changed as vile Nish once again took steps to assert his control over her, by inviting himself to join her for ‘an early night’ – implying that that wasn’t all he wanted.

Poor Suki’s face dropped as he claimed that her supposed headache was ‘nothing some paracetamol won’t fix’.
As he went to kiss her, she turned her head slightly to avoid it, before putting on a brave face to disguise her disgust.
