Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) falls back into the Knight family’s bad books in next week’s EastEnders as they get word of her and Ian’s (Adam Woodyatt) new business plan.
A few weeks ago, Cindy alluded to having a silent investor in the project to open a new food establishment in Walford.
The investor turned out to be Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo). He is back in Albert Square because his daughter, Jade, is unwell and in a hospital near his old home.
‘Dean has to live there so he’s on call for her appointments and in case the transplant comes through, and they need to move fast. He’s reluctant because he knows the repercussions of returning, but ultimately, he has to help his family’, Matt Di Angelo told us.

‘Dean also needs to make a living whilst he’s there, so he’s invested in a new business, which will be revealed as Cindy and Ian’s new pie and mash shop, Beale’s Eels.’
This week, shortly after Ian discovered the identity of the partner in the business, he had to tell Cindy more about Dean – including the fact he raped Linda (Kellie Bright).

Given she had previously been living undercover as Rose Knight, Cindy had no idea about the real Dean and said destroying the contract would be the best thing to do.
Cindy then realised if word got out, Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) and the Knights would assume she organised the deal as a ‘deliberate attack’ on the family.
