Newcomer Priya (Sophie Khan Levy) has made quite the impact on the Panesar family in EastEnders.
Priya arrived yesterday along with her daughter Avani (Aaliyah James). She is the ex-girlfriend of Ravi (Aaron Thiara), which also makes him Avani’s father.
Because Priya hadn’t told Ravi about Avani, he understandably had a lot of questions in Wednesday’s (October 18) episode.
In the kitchen at the Panesars, Ravi listened as Priya revealed why she kept the huge secret.

It became apparent that Ranveer – the person Ravi thought was his dad – played a massive part in Priya leaving. The new face revealed that Ranveer had called her a junkie, tried it on with her, and then said he knows people who could bury her if she ever returned.
Emotional, Priya then left the kitchen at the Panesars and started drinking at Peggy’s.

This gave Ravi the opportunity to speak with Avani and slowly, they started to bond. Avani is bold and not afraid to say what she thinks – and that impressed Ravi.
As they continued talking, Priya was busy flirting with Peter (Thomas Law). They headed back to the Beale household and slept together, but things became terribly awkward when Cindy (Michelle Collins) and a drunk Sharon (Letitia Dean), Ian (Adam Woodyatt) and Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) came home.

Heading back to the Panesars, Priya was given an offer by Ravi, who clearly wanted to get to know Avani and asked to wipe the slate clean.
Angry and hurt over the past, Priya said that she can cope on her own and wondered if Ranveer was scum, what does that make Ravi – given that he let the evil man get away with so much?
