Cindy met with a secret bidder (Picture: BBC)
Ever since her dramatic return to EastEnders, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) has ben desperate to make another go of things with daughters Anna and Gina (Molly Rainford and Francesca Henry), though she has a long way to go prove that she means what she says.
Part of her plan to win them back has been to lay roots down in Albert Square, in a bid to prove that she doesn’t plan on going anywhere. In order to do this, she has decided to buy her own business on the Square.
Unfortunately, things have been going far from smoothly for Cindy and partner Ian (Adam Woodyatt), with finances proving to be their biggest obstacle in securing a future for themselves.
With their sights set on turning the pawnbrokers site into a pie and mash shop, the couple were gutted when they discovered that they had competition, with another bidder interested in buying the place.
With no way of laying down a deposit, Cindy came up with a cunning, if unusual, plan.

In the most recent instalment of the BBC soap, Cindy headed off to meet with the opposing bidder, with the aim of coming to some sort of arrangement.
Having exhausted all options in trying to get an investor, Cindy decided to talk the other bidder into going into business together, putting in half of the money each.
It seemed that the other party was keen, as Cindy soon had some good news for Ian.
She revealed her plan to a surprised Ian, and explained that the other buyer was willing to go into business with them. Ian was understandably concerned, but Cindy was desperate to prove she could be trusted.
But who is this mysterious buyer?

All Cindy was able to reveal was that it was a man who had previously lived in Albert Square before – meaning that inevitably this person will be a returning character.
She was unable to give Ian – or us – any further details, claiming that the buyer didn’t want anyone to know who he was until the deal had gone through. Sounds dodgy, right?
There has been a lot of speculation on social media about who may be set to join Cindy and Ian on their business venture, with many calling out for Cindy’s former flame David Wicks to make a reappearance.
Could David be Cindy’s mystery business partner? (Picture: BBC)
David, as viewers will recall, was last seen in 2014, though his initial stint in the Square during the mid-nineties saw him embark on an affair with Cindy, who was married to Ian at the time.
Cindy and Ian going into business with David would certainly ruffle a few feathers, and no doubt cause plenty of drama among the trio themselves.
However, a recent behind the scenes photo from the EastEnders set may shed more light on the possible buyer, and it may be one of the shows most dastardly villains.
The photo caused mayhem on social media when fans spotted Dean Wicks actor Matt Di Angelo in the background, all but confirming his return to the show.
Fans had been speculating a return for Dean for several months, ever since his appearance in the back of a photograph of Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) during February’s flash forward episode.

It would make sense as to why Dean would not want Cindy revealing his identity to anyone else on the Square, given the evil crimes he committed there.
Cindy becoming involved with Dean would also have a huge knock on effect in her relationships with her daughters, given that step-sister Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) was raped by Dean.
At the moment, it remains to be seen who Cindy is planning on going into business with, but we certainly can’t wait to find out!
