Billy and Honey Mitchell (Perry Fenwick and Emma Barton) have had a really difficult year in EastEnders, but they are finally set to get some good news in upcoming scenes.
The couple and their family were rocked last year when they learnt that Lola Pearce had been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Despite undergoing treatment to prolong her life, Lola was given the devastating news that it hadn’t worked, and there was nothing else doctors could do.
As the family rallied to care for her and deal with their grief, daughter Janet had the added pressure of having to study for her GCSEs, which can be difficult enough at the best of times – just ask Denise Fox (Diane Parish)!
Lola’s deteriorating health left her feeling upset, and she refused to let Janet and brother William see her, leaving Honey in a difficult position.
With the atmosphere in the house tense, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) went out of his way to try and help out, offering Janet a quiet spot at Peggy’s to get her revision done.

In upcoming scenes, Billy and Honey will be waiting anxiously to see if these efforts paid off.
When they get the news that Janet has indeed passed her GCSEs, they are over the moon.
With her exams under her belt, the world is Janet’s oyster, but what will she choose to do next?
