George Knight (Colin Salmon) is set to face his worst fear in upcoming EastEnders scenes amid the return of wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).
After coming face to face with Cindy, who he knew as Rose Knight, George will demand answers over why she walked out of their lives nine years ago.
Gutted that Cindy hadn’t come back for her family at all, he lies about the whereabouts of their daughters, claiming that both Anna and Gina (Molly Rainford and Francesca Henry) are still in Spain, before taking her to the barrel store for a serious conversation.
However, the game is soon up when Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) interrupts the clandestine meeting and implores George to put aside his selfishness and think about the hard work Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) has put into hosting Anna’s 21st birthday party.

It suddenly dawns on Cindy that her daughters are just inches away, and she rushes into the bar to find them.
The girls are left reeling from the return of their estranged mother, who desperately tries to explain herself.
‘She hasn’t seen them for a long time, and I think it’s incredibly moving, actually,’ actress Michelle Collins revealed. ‘I was quite moved doing those scenes, and I think they were as well.

‘It must be very hard. She had to leave nine years ago, and not to see your kids in nine years is hard. And she’s going to have to work very hard for them to understand the reasons why she did it.’
However, the meeting soon turns to a confrontation, before the girls head to Peggy’s to drown their sorrows. As the alcohol flows, things soon get out of hand.
