Coronation fever has hit Walford, and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) is at the centre of everything in tonight’s episode of EastEnders.
Billy has had a tough time of it of late, dealing with the devastating grief that his granddaughter Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) only has six months left to live.
After suffering some worrying symptoms, Lola had an MRI and her worst fears were confirmed – her chemotherapy had stopped working, and she only has a limited amount of time left.
Billy has become determined to take the pressure off her husband Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) so the pair can make memories together along with Lola’s daughter Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown), but in the process, he has struggled to navigate his own feelings.
However, in upcoming scenes, he makes it his mission to convince Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) to host The Vic party and comes up with the idea of a ‘Royal Walkabout’ for the kids of Walford.
The Bakers take the idea and run with it, especially when Finlay Baker (Ashley Byam) finally gets Avery Baker’s (Omar Lye-Fook) sportscar running. However, he’s stunned when the car splutters.

Meanwhile, Billy pulls at Linda’s heartstrings by making a beautiful gesture to include Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) in the coronation celebrations following his shocking death.
Linda has been more down than ever in recent scenes as she awaited Janine Butcher’s (Charlie Brooks) prison sentence.
In recent scenes, she finally learned how long the Walford bad girl would be serving behind bars, and the news knocked her for six.
When Linda, also known as Albert Square’s biggest lover of the Royal Family, revealed that she didn’t care about the Coronation, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) realised that there must be something seriously wrong.
