Billy Micthell (Perry Fenwick) is set to return to tragic news in upcoming EastEnders scenes, as Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) updates him on her condition.
Having been diagnosed with a brain tumour last year, Lola has recently found herself zoning out and becoming forgetful.
Concerned that her condition may have worsened, she went to the hospital, where MRI scans confirmed that her chemotherapy was no longer working.
She was heartbroken by the news that she only has six months left to live, and was left with the difficult task of revealing this to her loved ones.
She gathered everyone together before her fundraising event, but asked them not to tell Billy, as she wanted to break the news herself.
The news hit everyone hard, especially young daughter Lexi (Isabella Brown), who had been unable to come to terms with the fact that her mum was dying.
While dad Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) attempted to shelter her from the news, Lola wanted to make it clear that she wasn’t going to be around forever.
In the coming episodes, Billy will return return from Portugal, and Lola will be left worrying over how to tell him her prognosis.
