Lisa’s got a lot going on (Pictures: BBC)
As Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) heads back to Walford in EastEnders, she brings not only young Peggy with her, but news about her daughter, Louise Mitchell.
Peggy is Louise and Keanu’s (Danny Walters) daughter. Louise gave birth to Peggy around the time Keanu was having an affair with Sharon (Letitia Dean), the mother of his son – Albie.
Following the birth, Louise began to struggle with her mental health. At the time, she was under the impression that she played a part in Keanu’s death and as things got worse, she very nearly smothered her crying daughter with a pillow.
Protecting her daughter seems to be the priority for Lisa as she returns to Albert Square.
‘She’s full of bitterness and anger and hate towards them because of what they [Keanu and Sharon] did to her daughter. She’s absolutely consumed by that,’ Lucy Benjamin revealed.

‘I think that’s another reason why she feels justified in being all guns blazing and coming hammer and tongs for Keanu. And she’s angry that they seem to be having a great life together when Louise is in bits back in Portugal. She’s full of resentment towards them.’
With the sole aim to make Keanu pay for what he did to Louise, it appears she wants to make money the focus after running off to avoid paying a taxi fare.
On her way, Lisa bumps into Sonia (Natalie Cassidy), who invites her for coffee.

As they get chatting, Lisa reveals that things aren’t going well in Portugal, and that Louise is currently off the rails.
‘She’s saying that she turned to drink and to drugs and that she would just go missing for weeks on end, so Lisa basically had the responsibility of looking after Peggy,’ Lucy explained.
‘When they moved away, through what had gone on with Sharon and Keanu, Louise went to pot really, and everything came crumbling down around her. And so, Lisa had to step up and take responsibility of Peggy.’

Later on, after an awkward run-in with Phil (Steve McFadden), Lisa plans to lie low ahead of confronting Keanu.
However, after Reiss (Jonny Freeman) accidentally reveals that Lisa and Peggy are here, Keanu approaches with the aim of putting things right between him and Lisa, so he can see Peggy.
But as Keanu speaks to Lisa, it’s very clear he isn’t prepared for her financial demands.

On her comeback, Lucy Benjamin said: ‘I can’t wait to make my return as Lisa Fowler again after leaving for Spain with Louise and granddaughter Peggy, back in 2019.
‘No doubt, in true Lisa fashion, she will bring with her plenty of drama for many of the characters on the Square, which is why playing her is such a delight.’
