EastEnders spoilers: Alfie’s shock announcement, soap legend arrested and an iconic couple split

The future is looking bleak for some major EastEnders characters next week, not least of all Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), who is arrested for an incident against her own family.

A fire ripped through the cafe, leaving chaos in its wake, and in the scenes which follow, Cindy (Michelle Collins) is all over the place.

We know that Kathy’s husband Rocky (Brian Conley) is the real culprit, but Cindy wants Kathy to pay, certain she is at fault for what has happened.

Kathy faces serious questions, and things aren’t looking good.

Meanwhile, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) is also questioning what’s ahead for him after returning from Spain, knowing he has to face his fears.

And Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) is on edge as he gets what he wants, knowing it can’t possibly last.

Monday November 13  

George comforts Cindy (Picture: ITV)

Alfie returns from Spain and heads to the hospital with Linda for his PSA results Back in the Square, Alfie pales when Kat tears into him for his disappearing act, but she soon softens when Alfie reveals the truth.

Cindy is quick to blame Kathy for the incident, and storms back to Walford after spotting a warm moment between Kathy and Ian. George comforts Cindy in The Vic and encourages her to head back to the hospital after sharing some home truths about her behaviour.

Back at the hospital, Cindy appears to have forgiven Kathy as she and Ian put the earlier events of the day behind them, but its not long before the police arrive to arrest Kathy for her involvement in the fire.

Wednesday November 15

Elaine and George are shocked to discover that Cindy slept the night at The Vic following her fallout with Ian. Anna dotes on Cindy, but soon kicks her out when she later learns the truth.

Cindy heads to The Vic when Kathy arrives for round two, she retreats to No.45 for some peace. Later, George arrives with news.

Keanu tries to reassure Sharon as they anxiously prepare for Albie’s hospital appointment.

Keanu is late so Sharon starts the appointment without him Keanu arrives and with the pair stunned by the news, they agree to have tests themselves.

Elsewhere, Kathy lands Bernadette a job at The Vic when Elaine decides to serve breakfast whilst the café is out of action.

Eve goes on a date with a new love interest Tessa at Walford East where she’s faced with Suki who is there for lunch with the Panesar’s.  

Thursday November 16

Sharon lashes out at Keanu (Picture: ITV)

Sharon reels and lashes out at Keanu in The Vic for continuing with their engagement drinks before Zack finds her on Denny’s bench where she tearfully reveals all.

In an attempt to regain Ian’s trust, Cindy invites Kathy and Rocky to move back to No.45 which they gladly accept.

Keanu makes a mis-judged joke which falls flat with Sharon who is shaken by the café fire which has stirred up memories. Later, a paranoid Sharon agrees to let Keanu collect Albie from pre-school, and once back at No.45 asks him to propose again so she can accept.  

Elsewhere, Mitch rallies the residents of Walford to raise money for Bernadette and Marie following the fire.  

Tuesday November 14

Alfie reveals his prostate cancer diagnosis (Picture: ITV)

Phil is worried about his secret as Kat comforts Alfie at No.55. Later, Kat and Alfie head to Walford East where Alfie reveals his prostate cancer diagnosis to Tommy.

Later, Phil accosts Alfie about Emma, but Alfie insists he has no interest in telling Kat given the current situation.  

News of Kathy’s arrest is rife on the Square as she remains at the police station having been questioned through the night.

Kathy refuses a solicitor but after hours of questioning, she starts to regret her decision. Elsewhere, a guilty Rocky is accosted by Harvey who encourages him to come clean. Rocky heads to the police station.

Sharon and Keanu tell Mitch and Bernadette about their engagement as they prepare to celebrate in The Vic. Sharon tries to persuade Karen to join the celebrations but she refuses.

Back at No.43 Sharon is worried when she receives a phone call from the hospital requesting an urgent appointment to discuss Albie’s test results.  

Cindy continues to blame everyone for what’s happened and horrifies Ian with her comments.

After learning about her visit with George. Ian wonders what the point of them being together is.

Elsewhere, Reiss is shocked to learn that Sonia was once imprisoned for murder as she sympathises with Kathy’s current predicament. Reiss continues to question Sonia throughout the day before she snaps and orders him home so she can reveal all.
