Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) is left upset in EastEnders as he continues his fight against prostate cancer.
He was diagnosed back in the summer, after taking a punch in the stomach from off-the-rails son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall).
Afterwards, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) insisted Alfie go to A&E to get himself checked out, and doctors revealed worrying news.
Alfie’s prostate was enlarged, and further tests revealed it was cancerous.
Since then, his ex-wife Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) has stepped right up, putting her differences aside.
She’d been furious with Alfie for disappearing – when in fact he’d secretly has his prostate removed and had headed to Spain to recuperate, without telling her or their kids why.
