EastEnders reminded us of Heather’s sad death (Picture: BBC)
EastEnders took viewers on a trip down memory lane in tonight’s (October 25) episode as they reminded us of two dramatic deaths from years gone by.
Recent scenes have seen Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) struggling with the loss of wife Lola and turning to drugs to try and deal with his pain.
This has left both Ben and Billy Mitchell (Max Bowden and Perry Fenwick) beside themselves, with their concern for Jay soon turning to rage as they found out about his drug use and relationship with escort Nadine (Jazzy Phoenix).
In tonight’s episode, Ben found Jay unconscious on the sofa after taking ketamine, and soon a bitter row broke out between them as Jay woke up.
Jay couldn’t mask his amusement as both Ben and Billy laid into him about his choices, and was soon bringing up their own past mistakes.

He was quick to remind Ben of what had happened with Heather Trott, informing Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) that if there was ever a bad path, Ben would choose to take it.
Viewers will recall the dramatic scenes which saw Ben murder Heather by hitting her over the head – something that he later spent time in prison for.
Jay was present during the attack, and it is no doubt something that he will never forget.

Billy wasn’t safe from Jay’s tongue lashing either, as he recalled Billy’s involvement in the death of his dad, Jase.
Jase was murdered by gangster Terry Bates back in 2008. He was fatally stabbed and died in hospital of his injuries after a showdown with the gang leader.
During the attack, Billy hid in the shower, terrified of getting involved.
Jay bitterly labelled Billy a coward for his actions and pointed out how hypocritical they were for berating him while he was mourning.
