EastEnders favourite ‘back from the dead’ in massive Christmas return twist

Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) has returned in EastEnders, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

The beloved character disappeared a few weeks ago after almost being killed by Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).

After Nish (Navin Chowdhry) discovered Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve kissing, she was told by Ravi to leave Walford and never return, or Suki and Stacey’s (Lacey Turner) lives would be in danger.

Since then, Stacey and Suki have slowly grown concerned over Eve’s whereabouts. This week, Stacey received a bunch of flowers with a note from Eve.

A suspicious Suki then searched through Nish’s laptop, realised he had sent the flowers, and concluded that he knows about the affair.

In Wednesday’s (December 20) episode of the BBC One soap, focus turned to Suki getting revenge. She attempted to drug Nish’s wine after making him dinner, but he had already worked out what she was doing and poured it over his food.

A defiant Suki then confronted Nish and asked ‘what have you done with the woman that I love?’.

Nish tried to take control, but a confident Suki told him that she risked everything for Eve, who will always be the love of her life.

A furious Nish then threw the kitchen table up in the air. Despite the action scaring Suki, she continued to tell Nish about her intense feelings for Eve.

At one point, it appeared Nish thought he had won the confrontation after telling Suki that he paid Eve £10k to leave. Sitting down, Nish attempted to comfort his wife but she pushed him away again, sticking to her decision that their relationship was over.

Failing to accept Suki’s words, Nish forced himself on top of her, but she kicked her husband and tried to escape.

The terrifying moment was interrupted by the police. They arrived and arrested Nish for Eve’s murder.

As Nish left and the house got quiet, Suki was left all alone.

She called Eve and left another message, believing their love story had come to an end.

But just as Suki poured some pills into her hand, Eve arrived.

Thank goodness.
