EastEnders has revealed a first look at Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) wedding, which is set to take place on Christmas Day.
The ceremony is one that has been almost a year in the making, after initially being teased in a flash-forward sequence which aired in February.
Sharon walks down the aisle in the newly released photographs from the highly-anticipated festive instalment of the BBC One soap, and yes she’s wearing that dress.
Keanu awaits his bride at the altar, with the two all smiles and ready to tie the knot. The big question here, however, is whether or not the ceremony will actually go ahead and if the couple will be pronounced husband and wife?
Keanu, as viewers know, is harbouring a big secret, after he orchestrated the kidnap of Albie in a bid to prevent Sharon from taking him out of the country.
Sharon was devastated by the events which unfolded, with Keanu instantly regretting his actions. Karen’s (Lorraine Stanley) role in the kidnap plot was exposed last week, with the mum taking the full blame, allowing Keanu to get off scot free.

But this is EastEnders we’re talking about and, as viewers know all too well, the truth always comes out in the end. Speaking of the truth, it’s not just Keanu that’s keeping a secret, with Sharon also having one of her own.
Albie isn’t Keanu’s son.
The former Queen Vic landlady made the discovery earlier this year, with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) being confirmed as Albie’s father. Despite her reservations, Sharon decided to keep the truth from both Phil and Keanu, allowing the latter to carrying on believing that Albie is his.

But will all be revealed on the day of the wedding?
If so, will these harsh truths play a role in the murder that’s set to take place on Christmas Day?

The aforementioned flashforward episode took fans to Christmas Day, with six of the show’s most iconic women standing over a deceased male corpse.
Sharon, in her wedding dress, is one of those women. Will it be Keanu or Phil that winds up dead? It’s certainly possible, given that the show has narrowed down the possibilities to seven men.
