EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s (December 12) episode which is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) world came crashing down after Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) played her false confession to the pub full of Queen Vic punters.
Dean, who raped Linda almost a decade ago, wound up in hospital last month after he continued to berate and bully the landlady, with George Knight (Colin Salmon) smacking him, resulting in the rapist falling down the stairs.
Not wanting Anna and Gina (Molly Rainford and Francesca Henry) to lose their dad to prison, Linda agreed to give Dean a false confession in controversial scenes, claiming that she lied about the rape, in exchange for him dropping the charges against George.
Little did she know, however, that vile Dean had recorded her.
in the aftermath of the scenes, Linda resolved to move on with her life and not let the twisted man stop her from living but emotions have been running high this week, given its her first Christmas without Mick (Danny Dyer), who vanished at sea last year.

After receiving word that Lee (Danny Hatchard) and Nancy (Maddy Hill) won’t be returning home for Christmas, Tuesday’s offering of the BBC One soap saw things take a harrowing turn, with Linda spotting a picture of son Ollie in the company of Dean at the grotto.
Horrified, she wasted little time in racing over to Beale’s Eels to have it out with the rapist and an intense showdown ensued, with Linda refusing to back down as Dean attempted to intimidate her.
Jade, meanwhile, was left confused by the scene unfolding and Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), who had a run-in with Dean earlier this week, filled her in, informing her that her dad is a sexual predator.

Jade, who had only just agreed to give Dean a chance, was horrified and quickly cut ties with her father, leaving Dean irate and vengeful.
Determined to have his revenge, he made a beeline for the Queen Vic and interrupted the choir practice.
Having the audacity to step behind her bar, he invaded Linda’s personal space once again before withdrawing his phone and playing aloud her false confession.
Linda was absolutely destroyed, with Dean taking great delight in her misery. The landlady struggled to cope in the aftermath of the public showdown and, after receiving word that Johnny (Charlie Suff) won’t be coming home for Christmas, she reached for the bottle.
