Eamonn Holmes didn’t hold back while going off on a cutting spiel about his former This Morning colleagues Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, saying that the pair have ‘no chemistry’.
While appearing on his breakfast programme on GB News, Eamonn, 63, addressed the rumoured fallout between the presenting duo.
Before moving channels from ITV, the broadcaster used to host the Friday edition of This Morning with his wife Ruth Langsford, 63, before they were replaced in the slot by Alison Hammond, 48, and Dermot O’Leary, 49.
Then he switched allegiance to GB News, with his new role announced in December 2021 before he made his debut the following month.
Speaking on his programme on Monday May 15 alongside his co-host Isabel Webster, Eamonn addressed the rumours of Phillip and Holly’s fallout head-on, despite the pair failing to mention it on This Morning.
‘I think there should’ve been a special award for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for best actors,’ Eamonn said savagely.

‘They may or may not be together on the telly today, but he’s brought in lawyers, she’s brought in [a] PR team. The public surely have sussed that there’s no chemistry, that there’s a broken fit between the two of them.’
Eamonn continued stressing that in his opinion, This Morning ‘does not depend on who presents it’.
‘It’s an institution. It will carry on no matter who presents it, and anybody can check the viewing figures. There’s no difference between whether they present it or anyone else,’ he added.
This isn’t the first time Eamonn has called out Phillip and Holly, as he also weighed in on ‘queuegate’ last year when the duo were accused of jumping the queue to visit the late Queen Elizabeth II while she was lying in state in Westminster Abbey.

Phillip and Holly stressed that they hadn’t broken the rules, saying in a statement that they didn’t take anyone’s place in the queue.
Reacting at the time, Eamonn said: ‘They didn’t get a fast-track, they say. Lie. They say they didn’t pay their respects to the body. Lie.
‘What else were they there for? Let’s just tell the truth about the whole thing.’
In a statement shared last week, Phillip described Holly as his ‘rock’.
‘As I have said before, Holly is my rock,’ he stressed. ‘We’re the best of friends — as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone.’
He continued to The Sun: ‘Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her.
‘The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us.’
Eamonn Holmes presents his GB News breakfast show weekdays from 6am.
