Dwayne Johnson has publicly paid his respects to YouTube star Jo Lindner who died on Friday aged 30.
Bodybuilder Lindner, known for his social media handle ‘Joesthetics’, had been living in Thailand in recent years, and shared videos about life there.
His death earlier this week was confirmed by his girlfriend Nicha.
Commenting on the sad news on Twitter, 51-year-old former wrestler Dwayne wrote: ‘Damn so sorry to see this. I always enjoyed watching his vids.
‘He always seemed so positive and passionate about bodybuilding and sharing his knowledge. RIP Jo.’
Lindner made a career sharing workout and diet videos with his 940,000 subscribers.

Writing on Instagram, Nicha confirmed his death and said he died from an aneurysm as she paid tribute to her ‘amazing and incredible’ partner.
The influencer said prior to his death he had been experiencing pain in his neck.
On Saturday, Nicha wrote on social media: ‘Yesterday his past away by aneurysm .. I was there with him in the room.. he put on the necklace in my neck that he made for me.
‘Then ..we was just lay down cuddle, .waiting the time to go meet Noel at the gym at 16.00 ..he was in my arms.. than this is just happening too fast.. 3 days ago he kept said that he pain his neck .. we not really realize it… until it too late.’ [sic].
A cause of death has not officially been confirmed.
Just days ago, Lindner posted a TikTok video in the gym, which fans have since been commenting with tributes.
‘Fly high king, rest in peace,’ one wrote.
Earlier this month, the social media star had expressed a fear of death, speaking to fellow YouTuber Bradley Martyn.
He said: ‘The heart is also a muscle, that’s my biggest concern that what if I get such a bad cramp that my heart gets a cramp.’
