    The Metro reports on Dominic Raab’s promise to slap sanctions on Alexander Lukashenko after the Ryanair plane hijack. Also featured on the front splash is Jamie Redknapp, after his girlfriend seemingly confirmed the news of her pregnancy.

    The Metro reports Dominic Raab has promised sanctions against Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko. The paper calls the diversion of the flight over the supposed bomb threat “a danger to civilian flights everywhere.”

    Online, the Metro reports at least two men have kept their jobs after they bullied a co-worker – and one of them have even got a promotion. 

    Stuart Smith and John Clearly subjected Sikh salesman Kieran Sidhu, 36 to racist abuse at tech firm Exertis. But despite HR advice, neither were sacked. 

    Belarus journalist dragged off Ryanair plane ‘confesses’ amid fears of torture

    The journalist arrested by the Belarusian regime in the Ryanair hijacking scandal has appeared on state TV to ‘confess’ to organising mass protests, the Metro reports. 

    His supporters are claiming he is being tortured as he faces charges that carry the death penalty. 

    Appearing on screen, he denied reports he was hospitalised with a heart condition saying:  ‘I am in Detention Centre No1 in Minsk. I can say that I have no health problems, including with my heart or any other organs.” 

    Kate ‘has taken on Prince Philip’s role as glue holding family together and resolving issues’

    Kate Middleton is taking on Prince Philip’s role as ‘the glue’ to help ‘resolve family issues’. 

    Kate is thought to be ‘stepping into’ the role of mediator left behind by the Duke of Edinburgh, according to Vanity Fair royal editor Katie Nicholl. 

    BBC boss defends not sacking Martin Bashir – who is still being paid despite damning Princess Diana report

    The Metro Online says Martin Bashir is still employed by the BBC after resigning from the broadcaster despite an inquiry found he used false documents to deceive Princess Diana into the infamous 1995 interview.
