The winter break means there’s only five games to look forward to this weekend, with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea enjoying a well earned break.
Arsenal take centre stage this afternoon with Mikel Arteta desperate to see his side return to winning and goalscoring ways.
Liverpool, meanwhile, will look to cement their position at the top of the table but face a testing trip to Bournemouth.
As ever, Betfair Ambassador Dimitar Berbatov previews the action for Metro.co.uk
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
Arsenal will get back on track against Crystal Palace. It’s a great opportunity for Arsenal to do so. Yes, Crystal Palace can surprise teams, but they can lose games easily. Arsenal need the win because they’ve lost three games in a row in all competitions – I think they’ll win. It’s not going to be an easy game for Arsenal, but with Crystal Palace you never know. Sometimes with Palace they are there, but they’re not there. You can go past them and score goals and enjoy the game. But other times they can make life difficult for you. It depends which Crystal Palace team turns up. Arsenal need the win if they want to stay close to the top. Prediction 2-1.
Brentford vs Nottingham Forest
Brentford have been struggling recently, and if it wasn’t for the teams below them struggling then they would be in real trouble. They have to start picking up points. Back at home, considering how much they need the win, I’ll go for them. Prediction 1-0.
Sheffield United vs West Ham
When you play a team and you know players are missing through injury, like West Ham, you need to take that chance. In the case of Sheffield United, they’re going to find it difficult to stay in the Premier League, but they’ll fight until the end. Bramall Lane is a difficult place to go. I’ll go for a surprise and say Sheffield United will get the points. Prediction 1-0.
Bournemouth vs Liverpool
Liverpool started the season slowly but they slowly climbed the table – and now they’re first. Of course, if they want to stay there, so they need the points. Credit to Solanke, playing for Bournemouth and scoring so many goals, it’s not easy to do that in a team that’s not a Liverpool or a Man City. It’s unbelievable. If Liverpool aren’t careful then he could score against them as well. I’m tempted to go for a surprise because it’s the Premier League and we witness crazy results. I’ll go for the draw. Prediction 2-2.
Brighton vs Wolves
A win for Brighton will them above Man United, so they’ll be hoping to get three points. Let’s They’re underperforming based on last season and they’d like to get going. Sometimes the results Brighton are getting are not what everyone expects because of the way they play football. But, I think they will have some good chances against Wolves, so I’m going for them. Prediction 3-2.
