Even worse than Lilith (Picture: Blizzard/Metro.co.uk)
If you’re running into a ‘locked account’ error while trying to play Diablo 4, there’s a simple workaround to resolve the issue.
Just a few weeks after its release, Diablo 4 has been a relatively bug free experience so far, apart from server issues causing some players to lose their level 100 hardcore characters.
Since it requires you to be always-online while playing, there’s always a chance of encountering some issues in Diablo 4. However, aside from initial login troubles, reported mostly by PlayStation 5 users, it’s not been too bad.
Unfortunately, some Diablo 4 players are now reporting a frustrating problem; they’re unable to access their accounts and are being greeted with an error message that says, ‘your account is currently locked.’
As you might have guessed, it’s unlikely that your account is actually locked, as the issue is more likely on the game’s end.
With that in mind, there are a few methods you can try to resolve the ‘your account is currently locked’ message in Diablo 4, also known as Error Code 395002.
How to deal with Error 395002 in Diablo 4
Error 395002 tends to pop up when there’s a massive surge of players trying to log into Diablo 4 all at once, which can be pretty frustrating, especially when it happens while you’re already playing.
Sadly, there’s no foolproof fix for this error. Your best bet is to log off the server, take a breather for a few minutes, and then give logging in another shot.
This temporary solution is currently the only known workaround until Blizzard officially resolves the issue.
If logging out and back in doesn’t do the trick, it’s worth considering a complete game restart, which should help you whether you’re playing on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC.
While you can’t completely fix the ‘your account is currently locked’ error, the easiest way to avoid it is to play during off-peak hours when Diablo 4 should be less crowded.
If you can afford staying up late for your Diablo fix, the error message should pop up less frequently from either late in the evening or in the early hours of the morning.
