Delta Goodrem is no stranger to the stage having signed record deals as a teenager and appearing on the legendary Australian soap Neighbours.
The 38-year-old songstress delighted fans worldwide with five number-one studio albums, chart-topping hits and sold-out concerts.
Kicking off 2023 with a string of European tour dates, Delta decided to treat fans to an extravaganza that earned itself the title Hearts On The Run.
She revealed she was excited to celebrate the connection with supporters on the other side of the world to the Australian beauty and couldn’t believe she was still enjoying so much support outside of her native country.
The star chatted with Metro.co.uk and shared: ‘It’s like a celebration because it’s been so long but I think that it’s really my first sort of headline tour over there.
‘Australia has kept me so busy that after first bursting onto the scene and sharing music, I just feel like it’s the best time to get over there now because the world is open again.

‘I want to do great shows with everybody by having great energy and enjoying that we’re together, we’re here, we’re united’.
Delta continued explaining what it meant to her to have her lyrics recognised by European fans.
‘I felt very humbled, very grateful and just so thankful that after all these years people would continue to keep the music alive,’ the Neighbours star revealed.
She went on: ‘To see people buying tickets to the show and then selling them out has been just… I’m just super excited to put on a great show. That’s all I want do – for us to have a great time!’

Having grown up a performer, there’s little that spooks the star ahead of big moments in front of thousands of people and she admitted that she had a tactic to overcome any sneaky nerves while belting out her hits.
‘When the audience knows the song lyrics, you can rely on them to be a living teleprompter that reminds you of what the song lyrics are.
‘So sometimes you’ll start looking out to the audience and you’ll start to sing the second verse or something and then they’ll go: “No, no, it’s this”, and you’re like: “Yes, thank you”’.
Dealing with life on the road is made easier by the fact that the singer-songwriter is joined by her partner Matthew Copley.

She let slip how she makes the tour bus her own: ‘When we’re traveling on the bus, it’s all about my little Christmas lights. I decorate my little bunk with little fairy lights.
‘I like to really set up the bus so it’s organised so if you just get the little things that make it feel like home, then you can travel anywhere and be with the people you love and be fresh and ready’.
Delta’s Hearts On The Run kicks off in Dublin on April 4, 2023.
