Decomposing body found in singer D4vd’s impounded Tesla car after passers-by noticed smell
A decomposing body was found in an impounded Tesla belonging to the singer D4vd on Monday in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles police were called to the impound lot on account of a ‘foul odour coming from a vehicle’, the force said in a statement.
Officers on the scene found possible human remains and have subsequently launched a death investigation. Los Angeles Police Captain Robert Peters said the vehicle had been held at the lot for a few days.
The Tesla vehicle was reportedly towed and impounded after it had been abandoned on a street in the neighbourhood.
Video from the impound lot showed yellow police tape surrounding the car, which is registered to the charting singer D4vd, 20.
Officers are said to have found the remains in a bag in the trunk of the Tesla at Hollywood Tow, NBC Los Angeles reported.

The publication reported that the remains were not intact and that identification would be delayed on account of the decomposition.
They have also said that D4vd is cooperating with the police investigation.
A police spokesperson told the news organisation that D4vd ‘has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.’
Meanwhile, a law enforcement source has shared gruesome details with TMZ that the body was found ‘chopped up’ and ‘heavily decomposed’, with the exact cause of death to be determined by a medical examiner.
The 2023 Tesla is registered to D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, in Hempstead, Texas, ABC News has reported.
