The full title for the sequel to Death Stranding appears to have leaked, with a full reveal expected in the coming weeks.
Since Death Stranding 2’s announcement in 2022, news around the follow-up from Kojima Productions has been relatively scarce.
There has been talk that the sequel could potentially come out this year, which now might turn out to be true, as a new leak has claimed a full reveal for the game is imminent.
This comes from reliable leaker billbil-kun, who suggests that a second official announcement regarding Death Stranding 2 will ‘occur within the next 15 days’, from January 23.
While the leaker doesn’t state whether the announcement will take place in isolation or during a State of Play presentation, the latter has been rumoured since early January.
At the time, insider Jeff Grubb said the next PlayStation showcase will take place in ‘the coming weeks’ – which lines up with a potential presentation in early February and Sony’s schedule for showcases in 2022.
According to the billbil-kun, part of this announcement will be the game’s final title which is believed to be Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.
Death Stranding 2 was officially announced at The Game Awards 2022. The trailer confirmed Léa Seydoux, Norman Reedus, and Troy Baker will all return, alongside newcomers Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna.
The original Death Stranding was released in 2019 on PlayStation 4, before it later arrived on PC in July 2020. This was followed by a director’s cut version on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Game director Hideo Kojima is also working on a Death Stranding movie, although he’s only involved in producing and supervising the project.
While the rumours about the State of Play should be taken with a pitch of salt, billbil-kun is basically never wrong, so whatever else that is almost certainly the full title of Death Stranding 2 – unless Kojima decides to change it later.
A State of Play in February would make sense though, not just for the above reasons but because there’s mounting evidence about the arrival of Elden Ring DLC Shadow Of The Erdtree in the same month.
