The Netflix documentary about David Beckham has fuelled the demand for hair loss procedures, according to a Turkish clinic.
While the four-part programme covered the former Manchester United player’s relationship with Victoria Beckham, his alleged affair with Rebecca Loos, and his controversial move to LA Galaxy, it appears viewers were more gripped by his evolving style.
There were plenty of throwback moments in the documentary – which relied heavily on archive footage dating back to Becks’ first matches as a child, pre-global mega fame – that have sparked a revival.
As well as being one of the world’s best footballers, and biggest brands, Beckham explores how David, 48, became a style icon, specifically with his hairdos which ranged over the years from blonde highlights to a mohawk.
The documentary, directed by Succession’s Fischer Stevens, even implied his much-copied buzzcut was a move to irk his former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, and to attract the media’s glare.
Years later and after attracting a record-breaking number of viewers on Netflix, Beckham is still the ultimate influencer, with people flicking to Istanbul for hair loss procedures and hair transplants.

Estenove is among the clinics that have recorded an uptick in appointments since the documentary aired, revealing that men are specifically requesting the 90s classic curtain ‘do.
Having tried pretty much every hairstyle under the sun, David recently revealed the one look he regretted, his 2003 era cornrows, admitting that today they would be branded ‘cultural appropriation.’
Explaining the decision behind the style, David recalled: ‘We were there with family and one of Victoria’s friends who is a hairdresser.

‘I asked if she could do something with my hair and she said, “Do you want cornrows?” and I said, “Yeah. I don’t know what they are. But yeah.” It was painful having them done but I liked them.’
‘People ask if I have any regrets about my hairstyles and while I don’t regret any of them, I do sort of regret the cornrows.’
While David has largely stuck to the same long-on-top haircut for the past few years, a new, radical ‘do isn’t off the cards.

The Inter Miami owner previously explained changing up his hairstyles have ‘never been about attention, I just like playing around with my hair’.
David’s most recent major hair transformation was this summer when he unveiled a buzzcut on Instagram, captioning the post: ‘Summer cut. @victoriabeckham do u approve? A little late if not’.
