Former Barcelona star Dani Alves released from prison today after serving only a few weeks.

Alves secured his release by paying the £850,000 bail required and is expected to return to his Spanish residence shortly.

The footballer is reported to have followed the instructions of the three judges, who allowed his release from jail despite his recent rape conviction, by surrendering his Spanish and Brazilian passports.
