Daily Star Sunday - Fairy wail of New York

Summary of the front page

The Daily Star Sunday’s main story is about the Pogues singer Shane MacGowan and his “greatest fear”  – fairies. The paper is one of few that isn’t leading with UK politics.

The showbiz exclusive goes on to reveal an area the musician calls the “Fairy Fort” near his old family home in Ireland, which he claims people have entered in the past and “never been the same” since.

The front page keeps a space open for the 60p lettuce the paper bought from Tesco, which they are asking if the lettuce can outlast the PM’s time in office.

The arrest of Manchester United footballer Mason Greenwood also makes the front page as well as an exclusive report on the late Princess Diana

The odds came as more vultures seem to circle around the embattled PM, with some insiders suggesting she could be forced out of the job by Monday (October 17).
