Dad-of-two stabbed to death ‘inside barber shop’ in London

Josh McKay died at the scene in north London after the Dad-of-two stabbed to death in a fatal attack ‘inside a barber shop’ in Walthamstow, North London.

Photos from the scene show how police cordoned off the area on Lea Bridge Road in Walthamstow, with reports suggesting the stabbing took place in a barber’s shop just before 3pm.

In a statement released via police, relatives said: ‘The heart of our family has stopped beating. The World is less bright without his beautiful smile.’

The family shared a photo showing Josh happy and enjoying life. Who lived in Waltham Forest, in the pictured he can seen smiling and wearing sunglasses with a white cockatoo perched on his shoulder.

On July 7, a 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She remains in custody.

Paramedics attempted to save the victim but he died at the scene yesterday afternoon

The dad-of-two, 33, died at the scene on Saturday despite attempts by paramedics to save him.

Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley said: ‘We are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries, including a review of CCTV footage, and our colleagues from the local policing team remain in the area.

‘However, we still need your help. Two children have been left without a father. If you saw anything, or have information regarding the person who killed Josh, please do the right thing and call us, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.’

Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow, tweeted yesterday afternoon that there had been an attack on Lea Bridge Road, between Bakers Arms and Vicarage Road.

She has since also said that a young man had died in what she described as a ‘heinous attack’.

Creasy wrote: ‘Walthamstow this is the formal plea for help … If you have any information on the reason for this heinous attack, please come forward.

‘We can only stop the cycle of violence this represents together by standing against those who perpetrate it.

Knife-crime is rife in the Capital

It follows just days after a knifeman went on a rampage in Feltham, west London, stabbing three people in two attacks just minutes apart.

Early reports indicated that injuries sustained by two of the victims of those attacks were thought to be life threatening.

Scotland Yard has since said all three men were in a non-life-threatening condition and had been treated for their injuries.
