Gunshots appeared to be fired during a brawl at a sports contest which left three people injured.
Armed police rushed to the Derby Kabaddi Tournament in Alvaston, Derbyshire, at around 4pm yesterday.
Eyewitnesses said they saw a man being shot and being attacked with a sword.
It is thought the violence broke out between two rival gangs at the tournament.
Police said three people were injured, including one seriously.
Video posted on social media shows shows crowds running away from what sounds like gunshots.
Footage of the tournament on the Panjab Broadcasting Channel shows live commentary of the match cutting out as crowds flee in the background.

People were seen screaming and falling over as they attempted to get to their cars and leave the area.
Some people said they were unable to get to their vehicles as officers were at the scene, with several reporting they saw up to 20 police cars.
Derbyshire Police said in a statement last night: ‘We were called to a large scale disturbance in Elvaston Lane, Alvaston at 3.51pm on Sunday, August 20.
‘Three people have been injured, one seriously. They have all been taken to hospital.

‘There is a large police presence in the area and officers are expected to remain at the scene for some time.’

Kabaddi is a team combative sport, with seven players on each side, which is popular among the Punjab community.
