Demands for criminal inquiry into leaked Matt Hancock footage as Government says images not obtained covertly
The i says a former foreign secretary and head of a key national security body has said there are grounds for a criminal investigation into the leaking of CCTV footage showing Matt Hancock in an embrace with his aide.
Sir Malcolm Rifkind, a former chairman of Parliament’s intelligence and security committee, said it was unacceptable that there had been a camera in the former health secretary’s office, adding that he believes the hijacking of the video amounts to a criminal offence.
