Bahrain Covid-19: Record deaths as cases surge
Bahrain announced its highest death figure since the pandemic began. The kingdom recorded 24 deaths on Monday, and 3,177 new infections on Sunday.
The number of cases in the kingdom has seen a rapid surge since May.
Those who died were between the ages of 33 and 72 and included ex-pats and Bahraini nationals.
A number of measures have been announced to try to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The kingdom has announced a number of measures to try and stop the spread of the coronavirus. Any travellers from red list countries including India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are no longer allowed to enter the country.
Citizens and residents are exempt but a PCR test before travel and a quarantine period are under the new guidelines.
