Courteney Cox has admitted she barely remembers the plot from two films in the Scream franchise.
The Friends actress stars as Gale Weathers in all six of the Wes Craven slashers, from the original in 1996 all the way up to Scream VI, released this year.
And while she – like pretty much everyone else – adores the franchise, she admits it gets a bit muddled in the middle.
Courteney was speaking in an interview for Good Morning Britain on Wednesday about the newest instalment of the franchise alongside co-stars Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera when she made the comments.
On her character, the fearless and feisty Gale, Courteney said: ‘You expect her to not behave in a way that she should.
‘She’s got a heart, much more in these last films – although I don’t remember 3 and 4.’

She paused for a second, before adding: ‘That much.’
Back in the studio after broadcasting the pre-recorded interview clip, Richard declared that she ‘may not remember 3 and 4 but they were brilliant.’
Courteney previously excitedly announced she had ‘never seen more stabbings’ than in the sixth instalment of the Scream movies, as Gale become a ‘target’ for Ghostface after beating him in every film since the start.

She also heaped praise on directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who took over the helm from the late Wes Craven.
‘They just keep elevating it… They amped it up in every way,’ she continued to Entertainment Tonight. ‘The writers are incredible and it’s so scary.
‘There are more stabbings per person than I’ve ever seen. And they found some new places to get stabbed.
