Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) will have no choice but to tell Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) about her affair with Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) in Coronation Street, but could that be the end of the matter?
Sarah first met Damon in a hotel bar a few weeks ago. Even when she learnt that he was the man who dealt drugs through the Bistro and made Nick’s (Ben Price) life hell, that didn’t stop her from sleeping with him.
Damon will spend time with Sarah at the flat in upcoming episodes but after a poorly Harry returns from Gail’s (Helen Worth), Sarah will tell him to leave – for good.
Unable to resist him once more, Sarah kisses Damon, unaware she is being watched by her young son!
With Tina O’Brien previously confirming that Harry discovering his mum’s secret is the catalyst for her telling Adam the truth, Sarah is no doubt hoping she can put the fling behind her and really focus on rebuilding her marriage.
Sadly, according to the actress, that doesn’t look set to happen.
‘It’s just the tip of the iceberg, it’s messy and it’s about to get more messy’, she told the Daily Star.

‘There’s going to be a troubling time that she realises she is with child, but she is unsure as to who the father is going to be. That’s the mess, here comes the box being opened, and then she’s thinking, “was it even worth it?” Of course, it wasn’t!’.
Sarah’s decision to put her marriage on the line is behaviour we are not used to seeing from her and for Tina, that’s caused some very interesting reactions from fans.
‘Some of the comments I’ve been getting about her behaviour are awful!’, she told us.

‘They think her behaviour is disgraceful but then there are others saying that this is real life, affairs/flings they happen. It’s important to show that yes Sarah is usually very well behaved, yes, she is happy, but this man has just got under her skin.
‘We’re seeing her make bad decisions that aren’t necessarily the best for her but she’s still making them so yeah, it’s really interesting to play.’
