Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon has detailed her recent family holiday, revealing to followers that it certainly didn’t go as expected.

The Maria Connor actress swapped England for Mallorca, hoping to enjoy a few weeks of relaxation in the sun with her loved ones.

However, in a new Instagram post, she has revealed many eventualities occurred while the family was away that impacted their time off.

Sharing a variety of pictures from the trip, Samia explained alongside that the family endured flight delays there and back, a stolen bank card, a tornado and she also spent the first few days poorly.

She said: ‘Our holiday in Mallorca consisted of…flight delays (there and back), stolen bank card, a tornado, and i had a bit of a bug for the first few days.’

Samia was quick to point out that despite the problems, the family still had a lovely time.

She added: ‘We managed to get there and back safely, I got my stolen money back from my bank, we stayed safe in the storm and we got to spend time in the sun, see friends and eat lovely food.. #yinandyang. Home now and there’s no place I’d rather be!

‘I know I could’ve just put some caption about holidays been amazing (which they are obviously), but I feel like we get enough of people ‘living their best lives’ on here without showing the reality sometimes…Hope you’ve all had a lovely summer break and to those people affected by the flight delays… I feel you!.’

Samia was praised by her followers for posting an honest recap of her holiday, with many pointing out that it’s better to show the reality, rather than create another social media update that gives a false impression.

‘Fabulous reality post thanks! Similar to myself… Long ass delays, mozzy bite infection fell off pedalo resulting in hugest bruise of my life and parent passed out on plane on the way home… Still we had a good time with family!’, one fan wrote.

Another said: ‘Being real is what matters and what you have always been. Glad you had a good time with the family and everything was sorted money and flight wise. Good to be back safely.’

Elsewhere, Samia recently shared a sweet message on her social media that celebrated her and Sylvain Longchambon’s 7th wedding anniversary.

The couple met in 2013 on Dancing on Ice and tied the knot back in 2016. Samia has two children – Freya, who she shares with her ex-husband Matt Smith, and Yves Joseph, who is Sylvain’s son.
