It’s always best to let your loved ones know what you want for Christmas, or you’re only going to end up with a pair of socks and a Chocolate Orange.
Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon is taking that advice admirably on board, stating for the record that she wants ‘something sparkly’ on her left hand as a gift this festive season.
Boyfriend, and father of her child Sonny Jude, Ryan Ledson had better be taking note!
The Bethany Platt actress welcomed her son with the Preston North End footballer in February of this year, and now she is keen for the family to become even more tight knit.
So could there be wedding bells on the horizon?
Asked her ideal gift for Christmas, Lucy coyly replied with a laugh: ‘Maybe something sparkly, to go on my left hand!’
She added: ‘I do have a list, Ryan sends me a list so it’s only fair that I send him a bigger list.’

This festive season will be a big milestone for the clan, with Lucy smiling: ‘I’m very excited, it’s my first Christmas with Sonny and we’re going to my sister’s which is really nice, there’s going to be loads of us there.
‘When I was younger we’d always sit at the top of the stairs and my dad would go down into the lounge first to see if Santa has been and we’d all be shouting has he been, has he been, it was very cute.
‘So I want to do that this year for Sonny. Ryan can sneak down and I’ll be at the top of the stairs with Sonny all excited!’
It’s an exciting time all round for the star too, as she has reprised her Corrie role as Bethany after five years away.
And it’s going to be a dramatic one, with the character landing on her family just before the year closes.

Teasing a big 2024 to come, the soap’s producer Iain MacLeod told Metro.co.uk: ‘She’s grown up a lot. She’s had the beginnings of a successful journalism career in London.
‘She turns back up and is instantly very much a foe for Daisy, but they’re evenly matched now. Bethany might once have seemed like a younger woman or a girl, but she’s very much on Daisy’s level now.
‘It’s a heavy-weight tussle between these two women which I’m looking forward to seeing more of.’
